Recently has a user on a terminal server trying to change their login and licenses account to active Office 365. The user logged into Office , but Office came up with “couldn’t verify account”

Had to change the cache :
Change Key: SCLCacheOverride to “1”
Set SCLCacheOverride to 1 if you’re using shared computer activation and you want to roam the licensing token.
and whipe files in
In my case, affected users had 4 files/tokens in

We were trying to allow access to activate Office 365 from a closed bubble , deployed the Application Whitelists per below

Upon Office activation we were still getting the below :

Looking at the block in the end I had to whitelist the FQDN

And the following App

The servers were using Protected View for IE and that as a default browser so I also had to add to Trusted sites

When enabling Two Factor Authentication for a user in Azure for 365 when trying to activate Office for a user the following error display :

Enable on Tenant

Make sure you login to Powershell for the tenant and Enable 2fa on the 365 Organisation : Set-OrganizationConfig -OAuth2ClientProfileEnabled $true

You need to turn modern authentication on for the User via the Registry :

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\Identity\EnableADAL. REG_DWORD. 1

HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\EnableADAL. REG_DWORD. 1

Turn of WAM

[HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\DisableADALatopWAMOverride] – REG_DWORD “1”

Enable on Skype for Business

Set-ExecutionPolicy remotesigned

Import-Module SkypeOnlineConnector

$sfbSession = New-CsOnlineSession

Import-PSSession $sfbSession

Set-CsOAuthConfiguration -ClientAdalAuthOverride Allowed

Enable on OneDrive
