Aruba OS Upgrade

Recently got called into a situation where AP’s had been upgraded and the VC was not available

I ran the tasks to find the master :

(Instant AP)# show election statistics

(Instant AP)# show summary support

The State was showing a Conductor ( Not Slave or Master ) on all AP’s

Aruba Instant OS 10 – Requires Aruba Central ( Cloud Managed )

This section only applies to devices that are running AOS 10.x. If your device is running ArubaOS 8.x, you will haveto first migrate to AOS 10.x either manually or as part of the Aruba Central Firmware Compliance Policy, beforeattempting an upgrade.

We rolled back the firmware to V 8.X using the following commands

We can use the following command to switch between boot partitions of an IAP:

a) IAP# switch-partition-reboot

The above command applies to single IAP

b) IAP# switch-partition-reboot all

And re setup the VC IP and upgraded to the latest version of 8.X
