Recently when a user tried to open PDF Docs there where greeted with the error message

 unable to cast object ‘iTextSharp.txt.pdf.PdfNull’

Resetting the registry settings and app data for the application still produced the issue. In the end I had to delete the My Organisers folder under My Documents to clear the error
