Recently had a VMware host in Solarwinds Reporting – Hosts – No Heartbeat However everything was up on the host so a false positive.

Checking the host , and the CPU and Memory counters where not polling either.

I logged into the host and ran 

Source code

/etc/init.d/vpxa restart
 
/etc/init.d/hostd restart 

To Restart the management interfaces.

Repolling the machine through Virtulization Manager , Under Setup , Collection Schedule and Run now , displayed the Memory , CPU and cleared the Error
