Upon searching a shared mailbox in Outlook 2003 is displays the error
There are too many Find Public Folders dialogs open. You must close them
in order to use the Advance Find. Do you want to close them now?”
YES/NO
When you click Yes to close them , it comes up with an error message
“Outlook cannot perform your search. Outlook can’t display this view. A folder by this name already exists.”
Solution :
Instead of opening the mailbox as a secondary mailbox , open the Mailbox as your primary account in an Outlook profile. You can either log in with the secondary mailbox username , or give another user full access permissions to the mailbox.
You should then be able to click Yes to fix this error now , or do the below
- Quit and log off of Outlook.
- Click Start, click Run, and in the Open box type:
outlook /cleanfinders
