A client recently upgrade from to the latest version of Sage Line Accounts ( 2009 ). When starting the program and going to the default directory for the company folders ( C:\Program Files\line 50\) and selecting the chosen company folders Company.001 , Company.002 Etc it produced the error “No data found in this directory” A manual work around is: Close Sage Copy the folders into the new default storage of Sage 2009 ( C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\2009 ) from the old verison sage default location ( C:\Program Files\line 50\) Then Edit the file “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sage\Accounts\2009\COMPANY” in notepad And manually add the new folders to that list e.g. C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\2009\COMPANY.000 C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\APPLICATION DATA\SAGE\ACCOUNTS\2009\COMPANY.001 Save the file and open up sage and you should see your new companies in the company list, select one and it will ask you to upgrade the company folder to the new version
