Problem Description:
Unable to verify the custom domain while configuring Cloudflare WAF with the Microsoft Entra External ID tenant. During domain verification, the following error is encountered: “Could not reach the tenant’s well-known endpoint via custom domain. Please check that your custom domain has been properly configured to route traffic.”
Current Status: We are currently awaiting your response regarding the troubleshooting guidance previously provided. Further investigation depends on confirming the Cloudflare CAPTCHA configuration and, if the issue persists, reviewing a network trace captured while reproducing the problem.
Action plan:
- Confirm whether CAPTCHA has been disabled on the Cloudflare portal.
- If CAPTCHA is already disabled but custom-domain verification continues to fail, reproduce the issue while capturing a browser/network trace.
- Upload the collected trace through the secure case attachment link previously provided so we can review it and continue the investigation.
