Network Adapter Device : Code 31
- Delete the registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\Config ( is a REG_SZ key )
- Uninstall Network Adapters
- Restart Machine
- Reinstall Driver
When trying to install Driver , it finds the file however it comes back with : cannot find the file specified
- Make sure HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network has not been deleted! If so restore this!
- If not then :
- $windows$\inf\setupapi.dev.log
- Search for “cannot find the file” in this log file
- Fix the problem file
