When I choose to run the task interactively “Run only when user is logged on” it works fine to show the app is working

  1. You need to make sure Office is installed with Shared Activation so that other people can be logged into this server and the task can still run
  • Use Registry Editor to add a String value (Reg_SZ) of SharedComputerLicensing with a setting of 1 under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration.

2) You need to make sure you are not logged into the computer with the account that’s running the scheduled task it will fail , make sure it is totally logged out and sign in as another user to run it

Was trying to schedule the Google Cloud Directory Sync ( sync-cmd ) in a scheduled task on its own service account after creating the config.xml with the config manager

Running brought up the error (0x800700FF) in the scheduled task result

Turns out the Google Cloud Directory Sync Config Manager Encrypts the config.xml files to the user account that created them

I signed into the PC as the service account , reimported the config account and saved it as the service account and it ran fine
