But the problem still continued. After further investigation usp10.dll was the DLL causing the issue , and some<a href=\"http:\/\/www.techsupportforum.com\/forums\/f57\/solved-outlook-2010-crashes-in-usp10-dll-when-trying-to-display-particular-messages-494774.html\"> online research<\/a> it stated Helvettica Font was to blame. I removed the problem font from C:\\Windows\\Fonts and Word opened straight away.
