{"id":6545,"date":"2023-01-12T09:04:53","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T09:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/?p=6545"},"modified":"2023-01-12T09:04:55","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T09:04:55","slug":"rds-shortcutgatewayconnection-broker-trying-to-connection-to-session-hosts-outside-of-collection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/research\/rds-shortcutgatewayconnection-broker-trying-to-connection-to-session-hosts-outside-of-collection","title":{"rendered":"RDS Shortcut\\Gateway\\Connection Broker trying to connection to Session Hosts Outside of Collection"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I recently Sysprepped and cloned an existing RDS Session Host from a collection and created two new servers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon adding the new Session Hosts to the RDS Gateway ( <strong>Without <\/strong>adding them to the collection ) my RDP Users started getting error below<br><br>Changing the Allow Connections on the servers from True to False fixed the issue<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-10.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"558\" height=\"223\" src=\"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-10.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6546 img-responsive\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-10.png 558w, https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image-10-300x120.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The RDP files has the Collection name inside them so there should be no reason for it to connect to Session hosts outside the collection<br><br>loadbalanceinfo:s:tsv:\/\/MS Terminal Services Plugin.1.%Collection_Name%  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end I had to join both the servers to the RDS collection , then removed them and this fixed this issue.
