  1. Use the TAB pullout on the HPE Alletra 6000 to record both the Nimble and the HPE Serial Numbers from the device<\/li>
  2. Patch Eth0A in on both controllers ( this will be used for management )\u00a0 and power on the Unit ( Sometimes takes 10 minutes for it to start you can plug in a screen to confirm it goes to login )\u00a0<\/li>
  3. Download and install Install HPE Storage Toolkit on the Windows Host\u00a0 – https:\/\/infosight.hpe.com\/InfoSight\/media\/software\/active\/public\/1\/293\/Setup-NimbleNWT-x64.7.0.0.31.zip<\/a><\/li>
  4. Run this on a PC on the same Subnet and VLAN as the Unit. The Unit by default does NOT grab a DHCP address , it grabs an address on the 169.x.x.x , the Storage Toolkit finds this via broadcast. The software then opens a Webpage so you can administer this<\/li>
  5. Go through setting up IP \\ NTP etc on the unit , after the last page it will give you a “Use subscription key to activate device” and it will fail to join to Greenlake<\/li>
  6. Login with your existing customer HPE Passport account and create a New Greenlake account for the Company\u00a0 ( see Creating an HPE GreenLake company account )\u00a0<\/b><\/li>
  7. After this is done install the Data Services Cloud App See (Adding the Data Services Cloud Console app to an HPE GreenLake company account )<\/b><\/li>
  8. Create an Administrator role for your new user in Data Services Cloud Console ( Adding assignments and scopes to the Data Services Cloud Console app )\u00a0<\/b><\/li>
  9. Add Storage Device to Greenlake ( Adding storage systems to the Data Services Cloud Console app )\u00a0<\/b>using Use subscription key to activate device<\/li>

    Activating software entitlements<\/b><\/p>

    When an HPE Alletra 6000 storage system is ordered, HPE automatically emails an Electronic Software Delivery Receipt. The email contains a link that enables you to activate entitlements for the products in the order. For example, an order might include HPE Data Ops Manager Reserved SaaS 1-year Subscription.<\/p>

    Prerequisites<\/b><\/p>

    Locate the\u00a0HPE\u00a0Electronic Software Delivery Receipt email that was received for the order.<\/p>

    Procedure<\/b><\/p>

    1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Open the Electronic Software Delivery Receipt email and click\u00a0Access Your Products<\/b>.<\/p>

    2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Log into\u00a0My\u00a0HPE\u00a0Software Center<\/b>\u00a0with your\u00a0HPE\u00a0Passport<\/b>\u00a0account credentials. The\u00a0Activate<\/b>\u00a0page opens.<\/p>

    (If you do not have an account, click\u00a0Create Account<\/b>\u00a0to create one, then continue.)<\/p>

    3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the\u00a0Activate<\/b>\u00a0page, under\u00a0Step 1: Select Products to Activate<\/b>, select the products and click\u00a0Next<\/b>.<\/p>

    <\/a>HPE\u00a0GreenLake is a cloud portal that provides everything-as-a-service solutions for\u00a0HPE\u00a0customers and partners. To enable management of your\u00a0HPE\u00a0Alletra 9000\u00a0storage system, you must have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake Cloud Services user account.<\/p>

    If you already have an account, you can skip this step and go to\u00a0Creating an\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake company account<\/a>.<\/p>

    Procedure<\/b><\/p>

    1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Open your\u00a0HPE\u00a0Cloud invitation email. Click the link to the\u00a0Sign In to\u00a0HPE<\/b>\u00a0page. If you have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0Support account or\u00a0HPE\u00a0InfoSight account, you can use those credentials to sign in.<\/p>

    2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Click\u00a0HPE\u00a0Set Up Account<\/b>. Enter your first and last name, email address, country, and accept the terms of use. Click\u00a0Sign Up<\/b>.<\/p>

    3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Monitor your email for a verification email. Click\u00a0Verify Email<\/b>\u00a0to verify your identity.<\/p>

    4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Create and confirm the password to use for the account. Then click\u00a0Finish<\/b>.<\/p>

    Creating an\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake company account<\/b><\/p>

    You must have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0user account. If you have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0Support account,\u00a0HPE\u00a0Passport account, or\u00a0HPE\u00a0InfoSight account, you can use those credentials to sign in.<\/p>

    Adding the Data Services Cloud Console app to an\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake company account<\/b><\/p>

    <\/a>The Data Services Cloud Console is an application in\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake for managing all your storage devices. To use the Data Services Cloud Console app, you must add it to an\u00a0HPE\u00a0GreenLake company account.<\/p>

    If you already have added the app to the account, you can skip this step and go to\u00a0Adding assignments and scopes to the Data Services Cloud Console app<\/a>.<\/p>

    Prerequisites<\/b><\/p>

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You must have a\u00a0HPE\u00a0user account. If you have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0Support account or\u00a0HPE\u00a0InfoSight account, you can use those credentials to sign in.<\/p>

    2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If your user account is associated with more than one company account, select the company account to add the Data Services Cloud Console app. The company account dashboard page opens.<\/p>

    3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Click the\u00a0App Catalog<\/b>\u00a0tile. The\u00a0App Catalog<\/b>\u00a0page opens.<\/p>

    4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the\u00a0Choose Region<\/b>\u00a0menu at the upper right, select the geographical region that is closest to you. For example, the US West, EU Central, or AP East. The available apps for the region are listed.<\/p>

    5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the list of apps, locate the\u00a0Data Services Cloud Console<\/b>\u00a0app and click\u00a0Add<\/b>, then accept the\u00a0HPE\u00a0Application Terms. The app is added to the company account.<\/p>

    6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0After the app is added, its Launch button is displayed.<\/p>

    Adding assignments and scopes to the Data Services Cloud Console app<\/b><\/p>

    <\/a>Add the permissions necessary to access the Data Services Cloud Console. If you have already added assignments and scopes to the instance of the Data Services Cloud Console app, you can skip this step and go to\u00a0Adding storage systems to the Data Services Cloud Console app<\/a>.<\/p>

    Prerequisites<\/b><\/p>

    You must have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0user account. If you have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0Support account or\u00a0HPE\u00a0InfoSight account, you can use those credentials to sign in.<\/p>

    Procedure<\/b><\/p>

    1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On your company dashboard, in the\u00a0Assign User Access<\/b>\u00a0box, click\u00a0Assign Roles<\/b>.<\/p>

    2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the\u00a0Assignment<\/b>\u00a0page, click\u00a0Create Assignment<\/b>.<\/p>

    3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the\u00a0Create Assignment<\/b>\u00a0page, search for the user, and then click\u00a0Add<\/b>.<\/p>

    4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the\u00a0Add Roles<\/b>\u00a0dialog box, select\u00a0Data Services Cloud Console<\/b>, select\u00a0Administrator<\/b>, and then click\u00a0Add<\/b>.<\/p>

    5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the\u00a0Create Assignment<\/b>\u00a0page, click\u00a0Add Scope<\/b>\u00a0(next to the Data Services Cloud Console application).<\/p>

    6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0In the\u00a0Cloud Services Cloud Console Scopes<\/b>\u00a0dialog box, select each applicable region and then the App. Next, select the available scopes and then click\u00a0Add<\/b>.<\/p>

    7.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0On the\u00a0Create Assignment<\/b>\u00a0page, click\u00a0Create Assignment<\/b>.<\/p>

    Adding storage systems to the Data Services Cloud Console app<\/b><\/p>

    <\/a>To manage an HPE Alletra 6000 storage system, you must add it to an instance of the Data Services Cloud Console app.<\/p>

    Prerequisites<\/b><\/p>

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You must have an existing\u00a0HPE\u00a0user account. If you have an\u00a0HPE\u00a0Support account or\u00a0HPE\u00a0InfoSight account, you can use those credentials to sign in.<\/p>

    \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0You know the HPE Alletra 6000 storage system Serial Number and Subscription Key. These can be found on the Activation Receipt email.<\/p>

    Procedure<\/b><\/p>

    1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0From the\u00a0HPE\u00a0Data Services Cloud Console menu (upper left), select\u00a0Manage<\/b>.<\/p>

    2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Click\u00a0Device Management<\/b>, then\u00a0Add Devices<\/b>.<\/p>

    3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Select\u00a0Storage Devices<\/b>\u00a0for the\u00a0Device Type<\/b>, then click\u00a0Continue<\/b>.<\/p>

    4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Enter the\u00a0Serial Number<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Subscription Key<\/b>\u00a0for the storage system, then click\u00a0Enter<\/b>. Repeat this step for each additional storage system (if any), then click\u00a0Add Devices<\/b>.<\/p>
