    Hyper-V Console Method<\/h2>

    You can also use the Hyper-V console in Windows 10 to perform the merge operation. The first thing you\u2019ll want to do is\u00a0open the Hyper-V console<\/strong>. Next,\u00a0right-click the Hyper-V host<\/strong>\u00a0and click\u00a0Edit Disk<\/strong>.<\/p>

    After clicking\u00a0Edit Disk<\/strong>, you\u2019ll be presented with a wizard, where you\u2019ll point Hyper-V to the\u00a0.avhdx<\/strong>\u00a0file that you want to merge.<\/p>

    IMPORTANT:<\/strong>\u00a0Select the\u00a0.avhdx<\/strong>\u00a0file, and not the\u00a0.vhdx<\/strong>\u00a0file, otherwise you won\u2019t see the\u00a0Merge<\/strong>\u00a0operation available!<\/p>
