Recently had a client delay receiving emails<\/p>

A check of SMTP logs showed<\/p>

4.7.0 SMTP; 403 4.7.0 TLS handshake failed<\/strong><\/p>

To investigate :\u00a0<\/p>

Open Exchange Management Console<\/p>

Go to Server Configuration<\/strong> and check Exchange Certificates check if there are any expired with SMTP next to them<\/p>

Renew Self Signed Certificates\u00a0 :<\/p>

  1. type\u00a0Get-ExchangeCertificate<\/em> to list the installed certificates<\/p><\/li>

  2. Match the certificate to the expired certificate (using subject the name and services) from the Console then copy the associated thumbprint<\/p><\/li>

  3. Type\u00a0Get-ExchangeCertificate \u2013Thumbprint INSERTTHUMBPRINTHERE | New-ExchangeCertificate<\/em><\/p><\/li><\/ol>

    Renew Third Party Cert<\/strong><\/p>

    1. Go through the process of Renewal with your Third Party SSL Authority<\/li><\/ol>

      To disable Receiving email via TLS<\/p>

      Go to Hub Transport<\/strong> under\u00a0Server Configuration<\/strong>, then Untick Transport Layer Security (TLS) for each Receiver Connector<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
