{"id":1536,"date":"2015-04-30T06:28:49","date_gmt":"2015-04-30T06:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/?p=1536"},"modified":"2015-06-11T07:19:20","modified_gmt":"2015-06-11T07:19:20","slug":"how-to-create-a-new-imanageworksite-database","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/random\/how-to-create-a-new-imanageworksite-database","title":{"rendered":"How to create a new iManage\/Worksite Database"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><strong>How to create a new iManage\/Worksite Database<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/worksite.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1209 img-responsive\" src=\"http:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/worksite-150x150.png\" alt=\"worksite\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/worksite-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/pariswells.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/worksite.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>1) Create new blank Databases on an SQL \/ Oracle Server and create or use existing iManage user full rights<br \/>2) Add these Databases to the ODBC Sources under Administrative Tools with correct credentials ( Make sure it&#8217;s 32bit\u00a0C:\\Windows\\SysWOW64\\odbcad32.exe )\u00a0<br \/>3) Use Imanage Database Administrator to Register a new Database ( right Click on Worksite Databases and Click Register ) <br \/>4) When it asks for Operating System Path , this is the file server location so point it to the file server e.g. \\\\imanagefilesvr\\sharename<br \/>5) This creates all the tables and meta data in the table.<br \/>6) Once done open Worksite Service Manager and click the databases button<br \/>7) Choose Add Database<br \/>8) Find the ODBC Source and add a loginID and password.<br \/>9) Add indexing if needed e.g. IDOL Indexer as well as server name of indexer<br \/>10) Restart Worksite Server and check logs of connection sucessful<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>To configure WorkSite Indexer to index content from a new WorkSite library<\/strong><br \/>1. Ensure that you have a backup of your index data.<br \/>2. Back up all WorkSite Indexer configuration files.<br \/>3. Start the Deploy Tool by running the deploy-8_5.bat file located in the<br \/>installation directory.<br \/>4. Specify a new output directory that does not overwrite any existing<br \/>configuration files.<br \/>5. Ensure that the settings that you used to deploy the WorkSite Indexer are still<br \/>shown in the Deploy Tool. If the settings are not shown, reconfigure the<br \/>Deploy Tool with the same settings that you originally used.<br \/>6. Select the Indexer tab.<br \/>7. Click Add to add another WorkSite Library. The Add Library Configuration<br \/>dialog box opens.<br \/>8. In the Add Library Configuration dialog box, type the new WorkSite database<br \/>and connection information, then click Test.<br \/>9. After the connection test has completed successfully, click OK.<br \/>10. Click Grey Cog (Regenerate configuration files). NOT Deploy ( Green Arrow)<br \/>11. When the deploy process is complete, click Done, and then close the Deploy<br \/>Tool.<br \/>12. Stop the WorkSite Indexer services. See \u201cStop Individual WorkSite Indexer<br \/>Services\u201d on page 88.<br \/>13. Navigate to the output folder you specified in the Deploy Tool.<br \/>14. If you have not made any additional manual configuration changes, you can<br \/>run the _deploy_services.bat file with the new configuration files. If you<br \/>have made manual changes to the configuration files, continue with Step 15.<br \/>15. Open the following new configuration files, and compare them to the deployed<br \/>versions from Step 1.<br \/>? WorkSite Connector.cfg<br \/>? WorkSite IDOL.cfg<br \/>? Worksite ContentN.cfg (if multiple Content servers exist, you must<br \/>copy all the configuration files)<br \/>? Worksite Active Content.cfg (if applicable)<br \/>? Worksite DiffTool.cfg<br \/>? Worksite Metadata Content.cfg (if applicable)<br \/>? Worksite Workspace Content.cfg (if applicable) <br \/>Add Content Servers<br \/>WorkSite Indexer Administration Guide 149<\/p>\r\n<p>16. After confirming all configuration parameters, replace the existing<br \/>configuration files in your deployed directories with the new versions.<br \/>17. Restart the Indexer services. Use the Index Browser to ensure that the new<br \/>index database exists, and that the Indexer starts to process files from this<br \/>new WorkSite library.<\/p>\r\n<p><strong>How to Add Database to Communication Server<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Add the Database to the Communication Service Properties with a user which is in NTRADMIN Group ( If this group doesn&#8217;t exist create it! ) and add user<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Add the database to the Email Filing Server under Worksite Connect.
